Joining one or all the AAOS Registries is an easy process. There are five steps to participate in a Registry. The AAOS Registry Program’s mission is to improve orthopaedic care through the collection, analysis, and reporting of actionable data. The NEBH Registry is a program that enables research by providing valuable information to assist in making long-term decisions regarding orthopedic surgery.

Similar registry programs exist around the world to track the effectiveness of certain surgical procedures and implants. Along with clinical information collected at the time of surgery—such as types of implants we use—the patient perspective is a crucial piece to understanding how we can further ensure safety and improve the care we. Clinical data registries prospectively gather data from a group of patients with a common diagnosis or treatment to learn how to better care for patients. The Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative (MARCQI) is a group of orthopaedic surgeons and medical professionals dedicated to improving the quality of care for patients undergoing hip and knee replacement procedures in Michigan.

MARCQI has created a statewide quality improvement infrastructure by developing a consortium of hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) in Michigan to engage in quality improvement activities for hip and knee joint replacement. The OFA website and databases provide the tools, whether you are a veterinarian, breeder, or prospective owner. The purpose of the AOANJRR is to improve and maintain the quality of care for individuals receiving joint replacement surgery.

Registry research can lead to medical discoveries and reveal successful surgical techniques. What are some examples of national registries? American registries expand over countless specialties and fields. Some of the most prominent are the AJRR, Intelligent Research in Sight Registry , and National Cardiovascular Data Registry. The network is organised as an EFORT standing committee and reports to the EFORT Board.

Registries used in orthopaedic research exist at the regional, national, and international levels, and many were designed to specifically collect outcomes relevant to orthopaedics, such as short-term surgical complications, longer-term outcomes (implant survival or reoperations), and patient-reported outcomes. Virginia Joint Registry board member William Jiranek, M sai “The VJR believes that the expanded scope and resources of AJRR will lead to conclusions that will benefit patients beyond the analysis and findings of a single.
