Aircraft zones

What is aircraft zone zoning? Zones are designated physical areas of an aircraft thatidentify where maintenance activities occur. A maintenance task canspan multiple zones. In the Zones application, you can create, delete, or activate zones on an aircraft.


You cancreate and duplicate a hierarchy of zones by specifying parent or children zone records. Zoning of large aircraft is specified by the Air Transport Association of America in the ATA-1Specification.
